Who we are
Rich Young was born in Boise, Idaho but moved to Portland at a young age and considers it home base after growing up there. Rich has worked full time in the comic book industry the last 16 years for a variety of publishers doing both business and creative development, most currently for Dynamite Entertainment and Blind Ferret Entertainment. Rich's media of choice is graphite, pen & ink, and watercolor. He lives, works, and plays in SE Portland.
Raithon Woodrow Clay is a local artist born and raised in Anchorage Alaska who moved to Portland in 1998 to be involved in the local music scene. Little did he know how vast the local art scene was as well, which inspired him to express himself in many forms. Raithon works in a variety of medias often using materials others have overlooked to create something that lasts forever. He currently lives and breathes in NE Portland.
What do these two artists have in common besides being long time friends (and both born in 1974)?
When working together, they form R74, and collaborate to create pieces of art that, when finished, are something unique and different than either would do alone.
